A. GateMAN comes in three major models:
- GateMAN 3506, with 6x 10/100 UTP ports
- GateMAN 4012, with 12x 10/100/1000 UTP ports
- GateMAN 4000FL, with 2x 10/100 and 1x 10/100/1000 ports.

What the owners of old GateMAN 4000 can do?

Why GateMAN 4000FL has only three ports?
A. It is a surveillance system. GateMAN 4000FL will monitor the contents of one single 10/100 UTP cable. It can ignore the junk packets. It sits on the way and all packets should pass through its interfaces. The monitored traffic can be stored on (supplied) data storage systems by its third gigabit Ethernet port.

How can I analyze the data stored by GateMAN 4000FL?
A. You can simply visualize the stored data by GateWatch (TM) software which is bundled with the system.

Are GateMAN firewalls identical to other firewalls?
A. No. GateMAN is an Ethernet switch. So you can install it quite simply the way you install a hub switch in your LAN. But, it understands anything even in the application layer (say, wrong SMTP command from the client).

What features can I expect from GateMAN firewalls?
A. MAC/IP/Port report of any TCP connection. Tight TCP state inspection with sequence number checking, and reporting. TCP out of sequence alignment for bandwidth improvement. Email, URL, MAC address filtering. Sophisticated LAN user accounting.
